The process of reverting back to original icon is quite easy. Let’s say you've transformed your folder icon into stack drawer icons two months ago, you could do the followings to restore back to original folder icon.

  1. Select that item
  2. Control-Click on it to display contextual menu
  3. Choose Get Info or alternatively, you can use keystrokes command-i
  4. Click on small thumbnail sat on upper-left corner of info pane
  5. Hit delete key to restore your original icon
